how our 2022 season went

This year we had a slow season due to running 2 new vehicles and not knowing how they would run, so we decided to take it easy till we knew what they would do. The bike is a 2-stroke Cagiva 125cc junior drag bike built by ProJoint Fabrications. The car is a Walters with a 480cc methanol motor. The first event we attended was a static show at Elvington and we attended with both the car and bike. It was a good event as we got a lot of attention from members of the public and ex-service men and women. The second event we attended was at Melbourne raceway. We only took the bike as we needed to do some testing before the green light nationals at Santapod raceway. Whilst at Melbourne we qualified number 1 but we unfortunately lost the in the semifinals, we lost with a red light to end our weekend early.

Our next event was the green light nationals which was a double header, on day one we had an issue with a fuse that kept blowing. We later found out it was due to a chafed wire so we had fixed that. we got to the finals but lost due to running a pb of 9.82 on a 9.95 dial in but we were still extremely happy to make it to the final. On day 2 we were getting ready for the first qualifier of the day when we noticed a crack in the exhaust, we missed the session, so it was a race against time to get it fixed and thankfully we made it out on q2 for a one-shot qualifier thanks to Jerry Collier at ProJoint fabrications. so without knowing what it would run consistently we went out in round 1, our next event was the Fia European Finals which we attended with the car, and it was a great event we had no problems which was a pleasant change, unfortunately we lost in round one of eliminations on a hole shot win.
